Some properties may qualify for exemption even if they are occupied. These can include:

CLASS M - properties which are Students' Halls of Residence;

CLASS N - all the residents are students;

CLASS O - properties which are UK Armed Forces accommodation;

CLASS P - properties are Visiting Forces accommodation;

CLASS S - properties where all the residents are under 18 years of age;

CLASS U - properties where all the residents are severely mentally impaired;
-
CLASS V - properties which are the main residence of a person with diplomatic privilege or immunity;
-
CLASS W - properties which are an occupied annexe to an occupied dwelling.
