Reporting Fraud

Benefit fraud includes people who have not declared that they are working, living together or have other undeclared income or savings. It is important that you give us as much information as possible to allow us to commence an investigation, for example:

  • the name and address of the person you are reporting and their partner, if they have one
  • a description of the person and the time that they normally leave the property
  • the type of benefit fraud that you think they are committing and why you suspect them
  • if you think they are working, information about their employer
  • information about their vehicle, if they have one

Before you submit your report of suspected Benefit Fraud, please choose from the following two options:

  1. If your report is for someone who lives OUTSIDE of the Gateshead area see the National Online Benefit Fraud Reporting Form
  2. If your report is for someone who lives INSIDE the Gateshead area please complete the Benefit Fraud reporting form.
