Do your children qualify for Free School Meals?

To qualify you must be responsible for the child or children concerned which normally means that you will be receiving Child Benefit for them.

You must also receive one of the following:

  • Income Support 
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (Income Based)
  • Guarantee Pension Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance (Income Related)
  • Child Tax Credit - and your income for Tax Credit purposes must be less than £16,040.00 (details are shown on your Tax Credit award notice)
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999

Please note – if you receive Working Tax Credit you do not qualify for Free School Meals

New Website to provide help and advice for individuals, families and businesses during the economic downturn

The government has launched a new website called Real Help Now.

It provides information and advice etc for individuals and businesses on all kinds of things to help people through the current economic climate.
